Homestead Templeton Rye Pig Roast 1pm-5pm Sunday, September 9

Come join chef John Wayne Formica and the rest of the Homestead staff on the restaurant's beautiful rooftop deck with views of its 1,000 square foot organic food meadow for a pig roast, Templeton Rye cocktails, and more from 1pm - 5pm on Saturday, September 9.
All guests will receive three Templeton Rye cocktails: Templeton Punch (Templeton Rye infused tea, simple syrup, fresh-squeezed lemon juice), Templeton Kicker (Templeton Rye, ginger beer, fresh-squeezed lime juice), and the No. 4 (Templeton Rye, green Chartreuse, Le Sirop lemon-thyme syrup, fresh-squeezed lemon juice, soda water). Cash bar will also be available.
All guests will also receive some of the 100 pound Swabian Hall pig from Iowa that chef Formica will roast on a spit over Templeton Rye barrels. The pig will be basted in coconut and Templeton Rye and will be served with a creamy gravy and a sweet liverwurst gravy.
Passed appetizers will include Homestead signature dishes Two Way Potato, Mozzarella Roulade and Lamb Tartare with Housemade Chickpea Crisps along with roasted market vegetables and confit-herb roasted fingerling potatoes.
A selection of sweets from West Town Bakery & Diner will also be served.
